i think i need to clarify my intent here as it has become distorted.
this is a very sensitive topic for me as i have had too much experience with sexual abuse. my opinion here is that "lusting after the young chicks" can imply an attitude and environment that is accepting .and condoning to many men/women with a predatory nature who may very well read such things as a justification of the abuse and suffering they inflict on young women/men. i believe that perpetuating this in a chest beating fashion or to suggest this is inherently masculine can have severe and life long devastating impacts on many people's well being.
and that recognizing that sexual abuse and exploitation are far to common in our society. this glorification of the young woman as a prize to be claimed, lusted after and desired needs to be addressed and considered not waved recklessly
i have said my piece please do not quote me as i have nothing further to add

Can I at least quote you to say that I agree with your point? There certainly is no justification for inflicting abuse and suffering on anyone.

Well.. here is a full documentary on the science of lust and love..

And be advised it is a youtube video that i will not directly link here as there is a TV14 thumbnail presented there to 'get' people's 'attention'...ALONG the lines of what my wife sees on 'General Hospital'..that daytime soap opera to clarify what it is...for folks like me that ..abhor.. TV..overall....

I don't want to offend any puritan idealism..that may exiSt here..Victorian age..or whatever...

That's kinda sarcastic...and it's kinda not by the way...

But to each his or her own..and i can respect that .....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCK6zoiafio

Point being there is 'hard science' 'behind' this human lust and love thing..along with visual images...

Nothing is gonna change this..no matter what anyone imagines is true...

IT IS HUMAN NATURE..THAT IS ALL...

BUT THAT IS UP TO YOU..FRIEND..just a suggestion...

But if you do not make it clear..in the the future..i will tell you this..I WILL DEFEND MYSELF DIRECTLY TO YOU..whether you like it or not..if there is any inkLing that my integrity is being unfairly compromised....

And, since the Bible has already been invoked, no discussion of this topic would be complete without a reference to

1 Kings 1 wrote:
King David was old and advanced in years; and although they covered him with clothes, he could not get warm. So his servants said to him, ‘Let a young virgin be sought for my lord the king, and let her wait on the king, and be his attendant; let her lie in your bosom, so that my lord the king may be warm.’ So they searched for a beautiful girl throughout all the territory of Israel, and found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king. The girl was very beautiful. She became the king’s attendant and served him, but the king did not know her sexually..

David already possessed a substantial harem, and, apparently, even Bathsheba didn't appeal to him any more. A young piece of ass was required.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abishag

Wikipedia wrote:
The Interpreter's Bible notes that "the Hebrews...believed that the fertility of the soil and the general prosperity of the people were bound up with the fertility of the king. David by this time was old and decrepit and his sexual vigor is called into question. Attempts are made to remedy the situation. The first cure is to heap clothes upon his bed in order to secure such physical heat as might render him capable. When this fails a search is made for the most beautiful woman in the land. great emphasis is placed upon Abishag's charms. the LXX supports this by translating in vs. 2, "and let her excite him and lie with him." The fact that the king did not have intercourse with her is decisive in the story. If David was impotent he could no longer be king."

When we reach that age, a lot of us would probably like the same treatment, but most of us just aren't going to get it.

Here is one elderly Frenchman who found a solution:

This documentary is obviously a bit dated: Cambodia passed a law that no foreign man who is more than 50 years old may get married in Cambodia, evidently in response to international criticism over human trafficking. But it does seem an odd fix, given that Cambodia is also trying to promote itself as a retirement destination.

A depiction of David and Abishag

In something close to the Feminist-endorsed 69 position.

Well..at least she does look well over 18 in that picture...

Of course that too.. is dependent on culture..when a female turns adult and all of that...

16 always has been somewhat of a magical age for females in western cultures anyway..

Kind of symbolic in a way..of blossoming youth..

Regardless of what science or whoever 'technically has all the facts' for all of that....

'She's just 16 years old leave her alone they say'..

Yeah..right...

Sound of Music and all of that 2..'i am 16 going on 17' and all of that..

This s**t is everywhere in Western Culture..

Ain't no one fooling me..that's for sure...

It's different..but not that much different..than Muslim cultures..overall..

Its all about making reproduction happen...for whoever has the power.....

Overall...

Again..just in my opinion...

And yes..when i was 18 i most definitely was attracted to 16 year old girls..

What can i say..god made me that way...

Well, is the basis for attraction other than biological? I mean, you are hoping (or at least fantasizing) to do biological things, like procreating.

That is why scriptures call him the Son of Man! Why do you think thousands of Israel's men and women have coupled, generation after generation? To rub their backsides and titillate their groins? No. All those thousands and thousands of kisses were needed to produce the Messiah.

If any one of your ancestors had failed in his or her mission to procreate, then you wouldn't be here today.

And, every act of procreation, on the part of every single one of your ancestors, involved titillating the groin.

She also appears to be quite well fed. Which, in the 19th century, would have been considered a sign of wealth and hence attractiveness.

Yes..excellent point...i like voluptuous by the way..

My wife fits the ideal for women in our culture..

Everlasting youth...not an ounce of fat anywhere but...

Butt..

That's where it's at for having children..fertility..and all of that.....

And the picture you provided of King David's attempted muse..certainly fully illustrated 'that'..

Butt...

Dead pan humor's great ain't it..not everyone gets it..huh..;)
i like it..and can appreciate your type of humor...

Anyway.. back to so called 'debate' i guess...

no as your statements are facile and imbecilic. get the irony?
no i dont suppose you do. defend a view point as opposed to discussing it reveals you have no real interest in stating anything new or vaguely interesting

Well, that was an interesting documentary.

I suppose that the Feminist counterargument is still: "You guys are just a bunch of perverts who are looking for excuses to justify your horniness!"

Well, it is your integrity that is being compromised. That is abundantly clear--no need to guess. Fire away.
