I see NBC had dumped 'The Apprentice' over remarks Trump about immigrants being responsible for crime, drugs, and rape. The guy entertaining, I'll give him that

I'll laugh if the majority of Republicans are not taking Trump as seriously as they seem to be.

One less reason not to run, now that his show is gone, and be revealed to all America and the world what a buffoon he really is.

I worry about a percentage of people believing the disinformation he spouts. My coworker is thinking of voting for him.

I think he will try to run on a "national security" platform. The other Republican candidates will tear him to pieces before he ever gets a shot at the Democrats. The tactless, clueless spastic.

Well you better move to another country because there's no way someone who isn't in the 1% will be elected president in America. . .

Name a country where the ruler/leader is not in the top 1%. I can't find one.

My reason for posting this is I am just interested in your comments concerning Mr. Trump's interest in being the occupant of the Oval Office in the White House.

So what do you think? Can he do the job or not? :?:

Imo, Trump is only doing this to keep his "brand" in the media and will pull out prior to the Nat. Convention cycle.

"Trump had floated the idea of running for president in 1988, 2000, 2004, 2012, and 2016, and for governor of New York in 2006 and 2014.[97][98] In 2010, Trump considered a run for president of the United States in the 2012 election."
~Wikipedia

The race is Bush v. Clinton I suspect.

I honestly can't take Trump seriously anymore, since he's proven himself to be really out-of-touch with reality with all of his "birther" nonsense. So I really hope he doesn't make it through the Primaries.

I did NOT like what he said about Mexican people! At least I'm not the only one.

I'm not 100% sure he IS talking about ALL Mexican people; here's why:

On a local forum for our city about two or three years ago a poster, who said he was a small businessman in Porto Vallarta, said the Mexican government was promoting immigration to the U.S. for many of their undesirables. He repeated his contention with a lot of proof across a period of about a year. This reminded me of the same thing that happened when Cuba sent us a whole bunch of their criminals in the boat exodus (check it out on line if you like...It'll be easy to find; maybe here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mariel_boatlift ).

I don't think a country, like Mexico, who would send it's army out to kill farmers and students protesting unfair conditions would hesitate to do this type of thing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tlatelolco_massacre .

At the time this Mexican poster first mentioned this I was somewhat skeptical, but now I have to wonder if this is what Trump was trying to allude to (he's such a dolt).

Can you believe that that windbag is ahead in the Republican Presidential polls?

Absolutely. He says all the things that the base likes to hear.

And the base is capable of selecting a candidate, but not capable of electing a president.

My crazy pipe dream right now is a Trump v. Sanders race, because Sanders could win that with his eyes closed.

Trump has made noises about a 3rd party run. If he does that i could kiss him on the lips myself, because he'll split the right wing and guarantee a democratic win.

I just hope we don't end up with Hillary. I don't need or want a corporate democrat who used to be a young republican and campaigned for Goldwater, who gets almost all of her campaign funds from high finance orgs.

Donald Trump has been more than happy to play the role of the Frankenstein monster the Republican party had created by promoting and encouraging reactionary populism found in the tea party, with all it's barely concealed racism, nativism, and conspiracy theories. Now, that monster has come home to destroy it's maker. For those mainstream Republicans like Bush, Paul, and the others who know that Trump would only lead their party down the road to a Presidential defeat of epic proportions, they only have themselves to blame, as they had either taken part in stoking this angry, paranoid base that so loves Trump, or they had never spoken out against it.
As far as Hilary is concerned - unless there's some candidate out there who will come out of nowhere to pull a Barack Obama on Hilary, I suspect she's probably going to be our first woman President. Personally, I'm a Sanders guy myself, but I don't see him winning against Clinton in the long run, as his age, his blunt honesty, and the fact that too many Americans have been convinced that socialism is the devil's fruit, would all be counted against him. Man, I wish Elizabeth Warren would run, because she'd make Trump - like all of Wall Street - crap his pants.

I really don't want another Bush in the Whitehouse. If the election was right now, I'd vote for Trump in a second. We'll be lucky if there is even a country left by the next election.
