Let's be positive here, Donald Trump may not be the most promising president but he sure has to have done something good, right?

I want FACTS not exaggerated opinions based on some dubious source (such as Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook posts, News artcles from senationalist media like the Huffington Post, CNN, ect.)!

Please be objective and respect everybody else's opinions

...Even if they are Trump supporters.

Well, he's old and he ages. I'd say that's a good thing.

:)

Plenty of good material for comedians to work with.

He's made George W. Bush look MUCH more competent in retrospect.

Trump is learning on the job. So far, what I'd consider good, is he hasn't kowtowed to the whims and caprices of the conservative right.

There's no southern border wall.

Obamacare repeal just passed the House, but it's sure to be so refined in the Senate that, in the end, it won't be that much different from Obamacare.

The new Executive Order on religion means nothing. It has no teeth; just a photo op.

Basically, he hopped on board the political machine, grabbed the reins, and through checks and balances already in place, continues to steer America away from a collision course with any super power that be.

He's been reversing so many of his campaign promises and rhetoric (not to meddle in foreign affairs, label China a currency manipulator, etc) that his conservative base is up in arms. In other words, he's turning out to be a good guy, just that he throws bones out to the alt-right every so often to keep them quiet.

I like his repeal of some of Obama's reactionary restrictions on guns.

I had some reservations about Rex Tillerson but he seems to be doing a good job.

He finally got around to standing up for Syrians against Assad.

He has cooled his inflammatory rhetoric towards Europe and China (although a good candidate wouldn't have been needlessly inflammatory in the first place).

The one thing I always liked about Trump is him slapping aside political correctness.

Here's his executive orders:

Oh, I also think "Mad Dog" Mattis seems like a fine man and appointment from listening to some videos of him speaking.

Really? The guy has a tantrum and threatens to restrict freedom of speech every time a journalist criticises him. He's a huge fan of political correctness.

He killed TPP and is going to renegotiate or scrap NAFTA

Stopping one of the greatest criminals in American history from becoming president is an accomplishment worth celebrating in itself, the plan was to have a Bush or Clinton be president right now.

He criticized Clinton's dangerous foreign policy.

... but then he hypocritically attacked Syria. Oh well.

I think the Syrian attack was because he had terrible advisors.

His "climate change denier" executive orders.
As prevoiusly said Hillary is not President. This is a left handed compliment because even if you think Hillary was the lesser of two evils, that still makes her evil.

Clinton would have made a great President. She had such an inspirational vision. Hopefully when the Democrats win in 2020 they'll put someone in the White House who can finally carry it out. Failing that, whoever takes over at the end of their term in 2028.

Not to derail this thread, but are you serious?

I'm genuinely interested to know what you find inspiring about her.

As far as I can see, Clinton is a politician in the worst sense of the word.

And if you'll read the article I linked to in my thread about "understanding obama-trump voters" you'll see that there is some compelling research to suggest that the dems will never regain power if they cling to Clinton style policies.
