I'm with Khan. I would much rather support a monarchy than democracy. I'm old fashion.

I might also support regicide if things get out of hand. ;)

So, would this be a theocracy or a psittacracy ( <- please correct, Latin expert)?

If you want a VP who balances your thinking by disagreeing with you on almost everything (coupled with a general attitude of indifference), I'd be a good choice. I'm a jaded, apathetic, hedonistic type - I don't care for organized religion, or even politics!

For instance, you'd say, "Should I pass this law requiring all citizens to attend church and all non-citizens to be immediately deported?" and I'd say, "Uh, laws stink. I'm going to play with my Lite Brite now." :D

Nope. You may not be a parakeet, but you don't specify which of the other billion organisms on this Earth you are. There's only one that could be voted in. :P

Theo- and -Cracy are both from Greek. I don't know the Greek word for parrot. :? Psitta- would be from Latin, so a government of parrots might be: Imperium Psittacorum.

no. you're ineligible to be president of the United States. Even if you got written in, and won, you wouldn't be allowed to take office so whats the point?

Thats the first thing I thought of. Plus i'm not old enough. Plus, your political views probably do not mesh with mine.

Parakeet, I would vote for you once you turn 35.

What would your policies be on the following?

The Environment
LGBT Rights
Human Rights
Animal Rights
Laws for the Disabled
Education
Immigration
Freedom of Speech/Expression
Freedom of Religion
Right of Protest

i find this to be a slight news related topic. if any other mod wants to move it then go ahead.

now, first things, first...
hmmm...you don't appear to be a appear a parakeet...*observes username* oh, very good.
i refuse to vote any parakeets into office, they're too emotional and fickle.
now, where do you stand with the current issues, all of them? *takes out microphone, turkey sandwich, notepad, and pen*

-You were against affirmative action.
-You were against NAFTA, the NAU, etc. etc.

Those are my main issues at this point.

I agree withh all but the last. Free trade is the only way to put those organized criminal unionists in their place. I would also add:
-You are for a fixed 10 to 20 percent tax rate on all personal income above $15,000, and zero below.
-You are for mandatory military basic training to anyone aged 18 or out of high school, whichever is greater.
-You are for increased governement subsidies of college tuition.
-You abolish the Electoral College, retain the established two-party system, and allow for popular vote by simple majority.
-You either allow capital-crime executions to be broadcast on public TV, or you eliminate capital punishment altogether.
-You call in all foreign-aid markers and get those deadbeat nations to pay up, either in goods or real estate.
-You prosecute all those Governament officials and employees that were involved in providing or propagating the erroneous information that led to America's involvement in Bush's Iraq war.

I've already responded to CN's post. For yours:

1. For anyone who makes less than the cost of living they should be paid some to make up for their deficit. People who make more money than necessary to live should be taxed more heavily.
2. I'd support local militias doing the training.
3. I'm for free education, public laboratories, free testing services for students who prefer to teach themselves, et cetera.
4. Australian system of voting.
5. Sure... the execution channel... Murder and forced rape being capital offenses.
6. I'm going to support Israel.
7. Only if I can disband Wal-Mart for being anti-employee in nature.

I don't want to be VP, but I'd vote for you if I could get a spot in the cabinet.
