DIY Penthouse in Beijing

Professor builds dream mountain villa where he can get away from it all. Only problem is, it's on top of a Beijing apartment block (and the people underneath aren't too happy)

A little bit of artistic licence has been applied by professor Zhang Lin to make his dream penthouse. It has taken six years, only issue is he does not have planning permission, well that and his neighbours, but who cares what their neighbours think?

I think it looks great.

And I could tell at a glance that the rocks weren't real, even before I saw the close ups. So sad for the reporter.

And.... working in the field of construction, I can tell you that people will complain about something in their street just out of advantage (they have an excuse). Doesn't matter if their house, or in this case appartment, has been affected or not.

Anyway, I think it's great.
