"Generation Opportunity" is the name of the group funded by the Koch brothers in the USA with the intent of brainwashing college age students. Dunno what the reasoning is in the rest of the world, but it seems to me that people are being trained to assume that logic is wicked propaganda.

From the article:

Quote:
Their attitudes include a suspicion of collectivism, a greater scepticism towards the state and more faith in themselves as individuals to get things done.

Pretty much what drove me to the right.....

Huh, same thing that drove me to the left.

Are we sure this isn't a Left/Libertarian generation rather than a solid Right generation?

Perhaps. But "Right" doesn't go hand-in-hand with accepting shifting social values.

You might have noticed that the *rank and file conservaive of late isn't a died in the wool homophobe and even less of a racist.

* Rank and file: Not to be confused with the stereotypical fanatic that, while still alive and well, actually doesn't quite have the grip that the left would like to think they have.
