CNN: Intel chiefs presented Trump with claims of Russian efforts to compromise him

Quote:
Classified documents presented last week to President Obama and President-elect Trump included allegations that Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump, multiple US officials with direct knowledge of the briefings tell CNN.

I knew there was a reason he refused to acknowledge the Russian hacks.

Trump refuted the notion that Putin sent the DNC a phishing email with "Putin did this" written all over it, the same as cyber experts with decades of experience have been doing.

So the CNN conclusion in this is Trump somehow knew ahead of time these "Russian operatives" supposedly have compromising personal and financial info about him? Is this supposed info on Trump was something Russia was able to obtain but the FBI/CIA/NSA wasn't? Did Putin also send a phishing email to Trump's accountant?

This whole thing just gets more and more ridiculous. And Trump's a bad guy for pointing that out. And it's time to "start throwing rocks at Russia".

American intelligence services say Russia has something on Trump that he does not want to get out.

Trump refuses to acknowledge the Russian hacks of the DNC.

Trump steps into the breach created by Obama's diplomatic sanctions.

It is not too far out on the limb to think that Trump is trying to keep something secret. Something Putin knows.

I see impeachment in the future.

The Atlantic: What CNN's Report on Trump and Russia Does and Doesn't Say

Quote:
CNN says it is not reporting the details of the memos because it has not verified them. It adds that while the information was circulating for months, the intelligence community has now “checked out the former British intelligence operative and his vast network throughout Europe and find him and his sources to be credible enough” to use the information in briefings. However, intelligence officials also found the information sensitive enough to only provide it to Trump, President Obama, and the eight chairs and ranking members of the House and Senate intelligence committees, CNN says. Again, there’s no indication so far as to whether the intelligence community believes the British operative’s reports to be accurate. Even if the operative’s sources are genuine, for example, they might be trying to sow misinformation, which the unclassified version of the report on alleged Russian hacking noted was a favorite Kremlin tactic.

Well that's what many have wanted badly since the election. Some I'm sure will stop at nothing to try making it happen.

Meanwhile, the vile racism of the Left, like their constant stream of fake news, just keeps rolling on. Ira Madison III is a "culture writer" for MTV.

CTV/Associated Press: Trump briefed on potentially compromising report: official

Quote:
...The unsubstantiated dossier on Trump was compiled by a former Western intelligence operative as part of an opposition research project originally financed by a Republican client who opposed Trump, and later funded by Democrats, according to Mother Jones, which published an article about the report in October and said the operative had turned over the report to the FBI. The New York Times reported the operative had previously worked for British intelligence. The Associated Press has not been able to substantiate the information in the dossier, which misspelled the name of Russia's largest bank.

It's unclear why the intelligence officials decided to brief the president and Trump on the uncorroborated information at this time, but lawmakers and others have repeatedly noted that Russia collects intelligence on both Democrats and Republicans.

Looks about as legit as a windowless van with a 'free candy' sign, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Who knows how true it is, but for one side to claim it definitely is and the other to immediately put their fingers in their ears and scream 'fake news' while we are still waiting for this to be verified shows you the state that some parts of society have got themselves into.

I think the US should just go straight to war with Russia, like N. Korea, China, ISIS, whoever really hacked the DNC, wants to see happen. Which of those entities are going to suffer the most if the US and Russia combine forces? Who has the most to lose over such an alliance?

You can show people the truth all you want, but as long as they choose to be blind, it will mean nothing to them.

Uh-oh -- it's now being claimed various places that some of the Top Sekrit revelations in this story originated from a troll on 4Chan who successfully got them picked up by CNN & Co. This is going to be fun to watch.

Most likely a 14 year old. There's too many tech-ignorant baby-boomers like Podesta involved who fall for obvious tricks.
