"While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau," Trump wrote. "It is essential that we find new leadership for the FBI that restores public trust and confidence in its vital law enforcement mission."

Why mention that Comey told him he wasn't under investigation, and then fire him? It's weird.

Comey's troubles became insurmountable when a felon became the Democrat Party nominee and her husband compromised the investigation by his secret meeting with the AG.

Mr. Comey will have plenty of company under the Clinton bus.

It's suspicious. Comey is heading the investigation into Trump's Russia ties and he gets fired. The administration suggests that this was because of his behaviour during the email kerfuffle, but again, why now? More like Trump feels threatened by what Comey may uncover.
