Satanic Apple Macs - parody or real?
In a rant against "Evolutionism Propaganda" there is something abut the Godless, Communist, Satanic cult of Apple Mac users (the bit about Apple supposedly being Satanic is expressed more directly in the addendum on the original site). Can anyone tell whether it is for real? Any large enough movement will attract a lunatic fringe, the bigger the movement, the larger and more lunatic the fringe. That is just a statistical effect, and will happen even if everything the movement advocates is sensible. Christianity is a large enough religion that these people might be for real, despite the quote here, and the proud announcement elsewhere on the site that they are organizing an expedition to catch pterosaurs. But I am not sure.
I am especially interested in the opinions of conservative Christians. Are the authors of the site for real, and if they are, would you take them seriously? Or is this a parody and if it is, is it close enough to be fair and funny, or so far from the truth that it is offensive?
However, these propagandists aren't just targeting the young. Take for example Apple Computers, makers of the popular Macintosh line of computers. The real operating system hiding under the newest version of the Macintosh operating system (MacOS X) is called... Darwin! That's right, new Macs are based on Darwinism! While they currently don't advertise this fact to consumers, it is well known among the computer elite, who are mostly Atheists and Pagans. Furthermore, the Darwin OS is released under an "Open Source" license, which is just another name for Communism. They try to hide all of this under a facade of shiny, "lickable" buttons, but the truth has finally come out: Apple Computers promote Godless Darwinism and Communism.
But is this really such a shock? Lets look for a moment at Apple Computers. Founded by long haired hippies, this company has consistently supported 60's counter-cultural "values". But there are even darker undertones to this company than most are aware of. Consider the name of the company and its logo: an apple with a bite taken out of it. This is clearly a reference to the Fall, when Adam and Eve were tempted with an apple by the serpent. It is now Apple Computers offering us temptation, thereby aligning themselves with the forces of darkness.
This company is well known for its cult-like following. It isn't much of a stretch to say that it is a cult. Consider co-founder and leader Steve Jobs' constant exhortation through advertising (i.e. mind control) that its followers should "think different". We have to ask ourselves: "think different than whom or what?" The disturbing answer is that they want us to think different than our Christian upbringing, to reject all the values that we have been taught and to heed not the message of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Given the now obvious anti-Christian and cultish nature of Apple Computers, is it any wonder that they have decided to base their newest operating system on Darwinism? This just reaffirms the position that Darwinism is an inherently anti-Christian philosophy spread through propaganda and subliminal trickery, not a science as its brainwashed followers would have us believe.

Hypnotically encased iMacs trick unsuspecting computer users into accepting Darwinism
Well, I'm an atheist and I'm a Mac user, so maybe it's true! No, that was sarcasm. The new version of OS X isn't called "Darwin". It's named after a big cat, just like all the previous versions. This one is called "Leopard".
Maybe there is some "evolutionist" propoganda behind the story. Maybe it's meant to imply that leopards evolved from tigers, which evolved from panthers, with evolved from jaguars . . .
Wow. I never knew Steve Jobs was so evil. And i thought it was just a computer company. OOh, let me play....and the RAINBOW color on the apple, oh you know that means homosexuality has to come somewhere in the picture, right? And what are Ipods? pods, huh? You mean like 'seed' pods; like Demon seeds? I wonder how much time and energy has been spent on that theory. Paranoia is not a christian trait, merely a side effect of horror stories of the antichrist and such that many denominations pelt their people with.
I guess anything is possible. I dont think that should be such a heavy focus in the christian world. It just distracts from the more important things that should matter to them. This coming from a believer who has been terrified by some of that propaganda stuff before. A life of faith should have little room for fear. Not easy. Not helped by this kind of thing either. Please take a lot of those sites with a grain of salt.

Those iMacs in that image have got to be at least ten years old. Couldn't they at least show the more up-to-date versions?
Oh, and I think the only thing evil about Apple is the $500 asking price for the iPhone.

It was originally posted at objective.jesussave.us, but that site doesn't exist anymore, so the page only exists in places it's cached or copied. You can google for "Hypnotically encased iMacs trick unsuspecting" or something similarly distinctive to find copies of it around.
And yes, the original post was quite serious. Had it been satire, maybe the site would still be around.
Click on the phrase "Evolutionism Propaganda" here or in the original post. Or copy and paste this: http://objectiveministries.org/creation/propaganda.html
If you click, in the original post, on the phrase "expedition to catch pterosaurs" you'll get to that part of the site.
After what I read recently on WP, I think the Objective Ministries site is for real, and that it gives fundamentalist Christianity as bad a name as it deserves. For as long as the fundamentalists don't become acceptable to the mainstream, it doesn't make me worry about Christians in general. It's worth emphasizing that distinction.
On one of their affiliated sites, there's an advertisement for the product sold at this site which leads me to believe that it's a well executed parody.
