I love visiting Metimbers website. I laugh every time. Who was it that said that "You can't cheat an honest man?"

It was new news to me!

I think it's hilarious.

I regularly receive e-mails at work from people trying to scam me. They are along the lines of "I need money for an operation/medication/my child's healthcare - please send me money.

I work in a hospital - maybe they think hospital staff are more likely to fall for sob stories about people having no money for an operation.

Hahahaha!! That guy is sick! I love it! A bit of a read, but well worth the laugh from the photos at the bottom.

QM: Relax, not everyone has heard everything. The article I posted mentioned that Metimbers has been scambaiting for 10 years, yet I and some other people hadn't heard of him. Let it be, G!

Those are always fun. I used to scam scammers; it was amusing, but it's not worth the time for me anymore.

Personal favorite scamming site is: http://www.quatloos.com/brad-c/directory01.htm They're a bit of a read, some of them, but they're absurd in content and that's what makes them amusing.

the story entitled "busted was absolutely hilarious... they got the scammers to carve a very nice bust of the website owner's head, and then as if that wasn't enough, they got them to make a videotape of themselves acting out the monty python "dead parrot" sketch... classic :)

Link Here >>> BUSTED!

I was actually impressed with the acting skills of the nigerians... they were very funny...

The power of Scam topic

I read both Metimbers via the link and the P-P-P-Powerbook prank story on zug.

For the Metimbers saga, why would any prankster go to such lengths and cost for tattooing? Surely the time spent would make even a scammer doubtful.

For the Powerbook story, was it true? It was a good story anyway, but why would a prankster pay such a heavy tax for an item shipped overseas that he could buy cheaper in his country of origin? It never ceases to amaze me how people waste money! This is why I would absolutely never buy anything on line.

I have to admit I'm a bit disturbed that this Jeff guy disappeared after the scambait had gone through. Anyone know what happened to him?
