having bad time w/ wisdom teeth..vicodin acts like speed

I wish that I could just be knocked out, but the vicodin acts just like speed and I feel really irritated and hyper...
I have not been able to rest at all...I have been mean to people....I got cranky with Flakeys girlfriend because she was complaining while fixing soup for me about how gross it was...and I thought it maybe was not a good idea to let her fix it..and sure enough it was on the stove unattended...a condensed creamy soup with no milk added...
of course it was gross..

anyway...


vicodin has had me completely wired...but I am teking it for the pain...
Everybody is out there having fun...my ASish friend was being snarky with me and I lost my temper with him....and he doens't care...

I had my wisdom teeth out several years ago. I took Codeine, which I think is weaker than Vicodin, and it just made me feel very relaxed and a little out of it. I didn't feel much pain aside from the first night.

I can't help but wonder whether oral surgeons are too ready to perform that surgery. I had no problems with my teeth or gums before being told that my wisdom teeth should be removed.

Mine were close to nerves too...and I was warned by the first dentist I saw about them, about the risks..I was then referred to an oral surgeon who insisted that even though there was that risk, and my wisdom teeth were not causing me immediate discomfort, that i shouldhave them removed anyway since they are impacted and would cause more troubles down the line.....i was pressured into it by Flakey..who is the only reason i have ever been to the dentist in the first place...it happened now because we happened to be able to afford it...I just made a dumb comment one time that they happened to be growing and causing some pressure...

i yhink the numbness i feel post op will go away...

I am craving solid food and all I want to do is eat.
My poor friend is still not feeling well...I so badly want to take him to see an acupuncturist...

I am babbling disjointedly right now.
Dentists offices are insane.
We had to watch these ridiculous videos with horrible music...
I detected snarkiness from some of the ladies and I asked to keep my wisdom teeth but they didn't let me.

When I had mine out they gave me prescription strength tylenol or something it didn't work... Then my mom yelled at the guy and I got some other stuff that just knocked me out totally... But yeah wisdom teeth suck, hope it gets better. Oh and try campbells cup soups it's awesome loved the stuff when it was all I could eat lol

Sorry to hear that it made you anxious.

That's kinda rare, I find that even a small dose of hydrocondine(vicodin)(10mg) puts me in a good move and causes euphoria.

But yea drugs effect everyone differently, next time I recommend taking 1 dramamine OR 1 benadryl with it. One of the other, both of these drugs cause a more sedating effect and you'll feel less anxious,

It will cause you to be more drowsy but will ease your mind and make the drug feel less like a stimulant, dramamine works with most opiates and causes more of a sedating feeling instead of stimulating. Don't worry though, you will still be able to go about your day.

Try it but do google it. I swear

When I had mine out, I found a really good thing for pain relief was ice packs.

Put them on both sides of your jaw, use frozen peas because they can mould to your face. Also ice packs are good for bringing down the swelling.

I got T3's and percodan for my wisdom teeth, if flakes gf is complaining give her a couple vicodin, she won't be any trouble after that

I know what i am about to say sounds completely backward but trust me it may help in your situation.

It sounds like you may be ADHD. If so, I would recommend a stimulant like Ritalin for the pain.

In ADHD people, stimulants and painkillers/depressants work backward. a painkiller would make you wired while a stimulant would put you to sleep.

@Tintinnabulation: Vicodin is the synthetic version of Codiene. Also Codiene is a psychatropic drug that most people's bodies break down into Morphine causing the painkilling effect.

I wish it had that effect on me. I just get the hallucinations. same thing with Dextropmorphan, another psychatropic drug. it is the number 1 cough suppressant in the country. except for me.

vicodin messed me up as well when i had my teeth taken out. my body completely rejected it and it made me sick. i think they switched me to demerol.

I am ADD (inattentive)...I have not been taking my ADD meds since the surgery...I am an emotional mess today..I had a meltdown this morning over something really minor and I haven't been able to recover yet..I yelled at my partner in earshot of the people who work for us, so he called me an idiot because the reason for my outburst was uncalled for and very stupid...and I feel really ashamed of myself, and wish I could just disappear...but I can't....It is just another meltdown...but for me it feels like some kind iof turning point...and I don't blame him when he finally wises up and make moves that lean in the direction of finally getting rid of me..because i am completely useless to him and he spends all this money on me....getting my stupid wisdom teeth removed and my new glasses...just to have me yell at him over tiny stupid little things......

Right now I feel like everyone hates me and all I want to do is hide in my room and I can't stop crying...but it seems that Flakey is retaliating by shirking his duties of helping run the venue and is off galavanting with his other girlfriend...he has left his cell phone behind and I don't have the key to the front door...so I have no idea how things are gonna go tonight...

currently i feel like I have to either move out or kill myself....Flakey came back but he is being an as*hole and giving me a lecture on how nobody feels like they can talk to me...I have no idea what to do with myself at the moment....

you just had your wisdom teeth taken out and you're not feeling well. just get through this and see what happens at the end.

Can't tolerate anything that has acetaminophen in it. Makes me want to climb the walls.
