I'm 18, out of high school, and have a crappy job at McDonald's right now. I've been thinking about giving up on finding another job (like anyone would hire someone who was a special needs student) and with my work schedule, limited finances, and other responsibilities at home, I don't often have the time to do social activites or other things (like getting a driver's license or take classes at the community college).

Have you considered college?

Yes, but I don't know how I would fit it into my work schedule (I work from 11:00 to 3:00, BTW).

Maybe you could try online classes if the local community college offers them.

I think you should take your special needs ass to the college students with disabilities office and find out about financing school and enrolling in classes.

In four years, the only way all the crap that you have to deal with now will matter is if you have to still deal with it in four years.

Go to school. Get a degree. Get a good job. Make lots of money.

Or

Don't go to school, stay at low wage jobs, and always be poor.

Your choice.

Or I had another option: enroll in daytime classes, apply for financial aid, and quit my job.

Option Three: Go to school. Get a degree. Spend the remainder of your life at low wage jobs, and always be poor while ever dealing with trying to pay the school loans.

I hear many people who chased the dream actually ended up there.

Also, there are certainly classes before 11am & after 3pm.

I work/am at school for ~ 12hrs a day. I get up early. It sucks. But I have to.
