So got a job back home. Lost it. They said I wasn't a good fit. Thanks for that. That helps a lot you..... you..... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. If only they understood that a truly honest answer would be much more helpful. Nobody cares. Maybe I don't care. Maybe that's why nobody cares about me. I have had some powerful moments of hope. I'm not giving up. People tend to get annoyed with hopeful people quickly. Its all or nothing for me though. I just want to be able to relax. Maybe that's not possible. Maybe Hillel was right when he said, "Say not, 'When I have time I shall study'; for you may perhaps never have any leisure." I like this one better though, "If I am not for myself, who is for me? and when I am only for myself, what am I? and if not now, when?" So with that I am seriously considering homelessness for a little while. I will of course have to get south being that winter is coming on. San Fran is sounding good. So Lost. No one, no one to turn to. No solice anywhere.

I understand your sadness. In all my years of working various jobs, I've had only one where I was appreciated and understood. I've been married 16 years, and my wife still makes more money than I do!! I presently work for a bully boss who refuses to pay me the bonuses he promised, while he lives the good life. It's not easy being Aspic and finding long term employment. I'm also sick to death of friends who I ask for help telling me they would, but they're too busy.

Learner I went through a very similar experience. This seems to be universal and repeated for aspies, so I say why live if you we have to live life this way. This is the exact reason I am contemplating suicide, if we're not valued by society then why live?

I hope they had already talked to you about your strengths and weaknesses. Otherwise, just firing you and saying you aren't a good fit is an as*hole move.

First the boss said the tech didn't foresee me being with the company long term. Then after I was no longer working there I went in to get my last check. That time he said that they hired more people than they needed and they didn't want to start with an untrained employee. This termination also came right when I started to talk about union membership stuff. I was hassled by the unions regional rep at a job site for not having a card.

Suicide was an option before. Now its not. I went so far down for so long I came out on above it all. Like the excite bike glitch only in reverse. And also if you get so into the "us vs. them" thing real hardcore, just think how much "they" would like to see you kill yourself. Also the only remotely legitimate "they" is all economic not based on how your wired mentally. Look around even NT are desperately grasping on to things that give them comfort. They're just as lost as the rest of us. The legitimate "they" in "society" has all the money, they own all the media and they even figured out how to get us to pay for it. At this moment in time that legitimate "they" has the world in shambles, and "they" are have gotten very good at making the average comfort level for open expression, intelligence and freedom very low. But guess what, their power disappears when the majority rejects it. Its all a big ugly fairytale. We're all in the same gang. There's just a few subdivisions that naturally hate each other. Hate comes from fear. Turn the hate in to anger and find out where the hate comes from. Humanity will need you if and when there is a epoch. Humanity will need you to help steer and mold the future. Work in thickening your skin til then.

I can tell others what I think they should do, but I'm reluctant to follow my own advice. Still totally lost.

But jman if I plan on leaving the state for the west coast and you really want to kill yourself why not meet me out there. At least make a run at it before the end.

I know this won't make things any better, but this sort of dumb thing happens to a lot of people. It's just that companies don't really look at what's good for you, they only seek to benefit themselves. At the same time though, I swear that they are afraid to say the truth, because they think that you'll go postal on them if you're told what really happened. So they come up with some noninformative BS reason and try to weasel their way out of it. It's not you. This happens all the time!
