Someone going much too fast crashed into me today with their bicycle. I had been walking along sidewalk that runs along side a construction site. Heavy rainfall which has occurred in recent days and the sidewalk was uneven.

I told the person after the crash, "You were going a bit too fast."

"Well, you moved in my way!" he lied, with absolutely no remorse and no ounce of apology.

What a jerk.

How old was that someone? I'm guessing that he was in his Teens. A lot of Teenagers tend to be jerks. I hope you're feeling better, soon.

Most cyclists in London seem to think that they don't have to obey red traffic lights. I always try my best to walk out in front of them so they have to stop. Just because bikes are environmentally friendly doesn't give cyclists the right to do what they f**k they like.

krex: I did assume that the other person was not an Aspie. Why? 90% of the population is not an Aspie. In fact, his behavior was largely in line with what behavior I have come to expect from many NTs, as sad as that may be. If I had known he were an Aspie, I might have posted this thread in the member's only forum. But I cannot assume every other person I meet is an Aspie (although sometimes you can tell, which I didn't this case). That doesn't make sense especially when I am trying to improve my rapport with NTs.

EDIT: Grammar.

Sorry for the misunderstanding....I wasnt saying he was aspie.I was pointing out that this very NT person was rude and insensitive and I find it "ironic?" that these are traites that are often "mislabeled" as aspie.....I was also saying as an aspie,I doubt many of us would act so inappropriately.

I am a bicyclist. Pedestrians have right of way over bikes. I am very mindful of this because bikes have right of way over cars. Car people don't seem to think so and yell at me everyday. It's the law to ride in the road here, not on the sidewalk. Anyway, I know this doesn't help you, but pedestrians always have the right of way. Jerk bike should have apologized to you.

My mom was on a bicycle and fell down. There was a person on a bicycle behind her. He ran her over.

So, was this person planning to do that? Because if so, maybe he was trying to do a stunt ala Jackass. I'd track them down for the tape if I were you because it could be funny as hell and you might not want your mom to be the star of the next viral video on YouTube(tm)!

That was a few years ago.

Exactly, what was this guy doing riding on the sidewalk anyway?. Go check out the laws where you are.
Also, was he wearing a helmet?. If this occured at night, did he have appropriate lights on his bike?
It may be illegal if he had neither of these. Get revenge by telling the police

I would have mentioned this if I had known about the laws, but the construction work had completely obstructed the road. It was daytime. He was not wearing a helmet; however, I don't plan on telling the police.
