Housing Crisis!! !!
As I said in my introductory post on this forum, I'm having a bit of a housing crisis. I escaped from the homo/transphobic wilds of West Texas, and I am currently staying in the San Francisco Bay Area (Berkeley to be exact). I've been staying with friends here and couch-surfing here until I get settled, but I'm having a bit of a housing crisis at the moment as I can't find anywhere to stay for Friday and a while after. I just can't seem to find anywhere that's stable, and I want to avoid shelters and roughing it outside if at all possible, especially since shelters are very inimical towards transgender people and those with sensory issues, and they tend to have a greater-than-average population of addicts and alcoholics, and the idea of staying in such a place makes me feel rather uneasy inside. I often get really freaked out for my own safety and health whenever it comes time for me to have to leave somewhere. It's doubly hard right now because it's the holidays and everyone's going out of town. So ironic that it's the hardest to find help during the so-called 'giving season'...
Is there anyone in the Bay Area who's willing to put up an easy-going, decent trans aspie? ^^

This seems to be a strange post for such a new user. Wish I thought for one second it
was real.
Salvation army use to let you stay one night but not a second night in a row. Maybe
joining a Gay Lesbian Transgendered organization in the area will put you in contact
with some people who can help you get stablized.

This is for real. Please please help this guy if you can. I've been in his situation and I know how it is. (Look for back posts by me, I was living in a shelter in Virginia).
