I am excruciatingly lonely. I do everything right in trying to attract friends, but I still fail. And with a few exceptions, "friendships" only last a few days.
Tim, I don't know you, but I do know you're exeeding presence here. You're obviously a good guy, so what's wrong? I don't know, can't offer the solution, but I've a little tip. Take a break. The thing you are interested in, devote yourself to that-for the moment. To keep trying, only to fail-sucks. If you don't know why you are failing, then maybe it's time to relax, take yourself out of the immediate equation, and let your mind gather the thoughts needed at a different and less stressful time.
Hope your situation improves dude. Head up. I say this with a different meaning in mind-check out the sky, the things around you. The world's amazing, it's the immediate worries that take us away from natural beauty (and even artificial beauty!), perhaps this is trite, but it comes from a guy that does this to great effect. Forcing change is quite difficult, so don't force it, just try it.
G'luck to ya!
