I had a pet rat pass away a couple days ago. Her name was Lydia. At first I couldn't cry, but then by bed time that night I let loose. She will be missed. It's hard to lose a pet, it feels like I'm left with a gap of emptiness. I'll make sure to comfort her buddy Cocoa so she doesn't feel depressed. Still trying to cope with the loss myself. :(

I'm really sorry for your loss. I hate it when a loved one dies.
I also like your Ghost World quote. It's a great movie.

I remember when my rat terrier, Jojo, passed away just before my 24th birthday. It was very upsetting for me because I had her since I was 7 years old.

That was an unlucky week for me, because I was in a car accident just three days later.

I am very sad for you. I love animals. A few months ago when I had my Borzoi (Russian Wolf Hound) euthanized (he was really old) at the clinic the vet made me lay down since I became faint and cried. You will feel better.

I'm sorry :(

Losing a pet is terrible. It's like a little family member.

You have my condolances.

I use to raise Rats, aren't they so much fun? I'm thinking about getting another one, haven't had my own pet rat since high school, but both my children had them when they were younger. And yeah they grieve a bit when they loose their companion. I'm so sorry for your lost please give Cocoa and extra hug for me.

Ah, so sorry to hear about your loss, ghostgurl. It is so sad when a pet dies, but nice to know that she had a good life with you while she was here. Big cuddle for Cocoa.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I found out yesterday that our neighbor had to have his greyhound put down. He was old, and getting very feeble. I would stop him when they were out on their walkies and give the dog a backrub. I'll miss him ...
