I haven't posted in a while as I was at a high point but I felt I needed to tonight.

Basically, my Nan has just passed away and I don't know what I'm feeling but I just feel dead inside and know once it catches up to me I will not be able to cope with anything, no changes routine or things out of place. I just don't know what to do other than stand in my room and play guitar or sit here looking at wrong planet and playing world of tanks; there's just no telling how I will cope over the next couple of days

Anyone know coping strategies that might work for when all of my emotion catches up to me

Many thanks

Sorry to hear about your Nan. *hugs*
Don't really have any advice other than not to worry about or judge your feelings. There's no right or wrong way to grieve.

My condolences about your Nan, androbot is correct, there isn't a right or wrong way to grieve, allow space for your reaction when the shock wears off. Imo it's not the kind of thing you can or should direct. Generic strategies such as eat well, rest and exercise (even a gentle walk), basically looking after your mental and physical health will help you to cope.

My advice is to grieve in the way that comes naturally to you. If you feel you must stay in your room because being around the rest of your family or friends would make healing more difficult, then go right ahead. If you want to stick to a simple routine in order to feel stable and work out your feelings, do that too. Take care of yourself and eventually the pain will start to go away.
