Does anyone else experience a delay in emotional reactions? I should be very angry with someone by now, but I’m not, I don’t know how I feel, except hurt.

I need to have an emotional release, but I cry at most once a week and it’s usually triggered by an unrelated event.
It’s almost as if I am still in shock, I know what’s happening but cannot process it or think about it in a meaningful way.

I had that a lot when I had a job. It's like the show had to go on, but when I closed the door behind me and went home ... I finally had a chance to process all the impressions I got during the day. That could make me pretty angry at somebody ... and because I could not act on it, I kept cropping it up inside ...

My time frame slightly longer than that, I am like this for a few months; though I have also experienced what you describe regarding the work environment and bottling it up until I got home.

Yep...I always have delayed reactions--but they are often minutes "too late" rather than hours or days.

Hmm, I asked the GP/doctor about it a month ago and she said it was a part of the reactive depression, but this is not regular, time for second opinion. Thanks for the reply.

Sounds to me like you've become numbed to an emotion you're having too often. Either that, or it's like you said; you're still in shock. Take it piece by piece and try to relax.
