Cats have conquered the world.

I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've listened to that song on repeat. It's just so pretty!

It's weird--all of the things I like eating [cheese, mushrooms, strawberries, bananas, peanut butter, and tomatoes...] are things that I really shouldn't be eating. Does anyone else have that problem?

...those are healthy. Is Japanese stuff the only thing you consider healthy?

Rice milk, broccoli, carrots, and fruit aren't strictly Japanese, and they're healthy.
Here, I'll explain why I shouldn't be eating them:

Cheese: an animal product, and I try to avoid all animal products; also gives me gas sometimes
Mushrooms: they're fungus, which is bad for my digestion
Strawberries and bananas: apparently two things to avoid when you have a low Thyroid--why that is...is never really explained
Tomatoes [and Potatoes]: they're part of the Nightshade family, and I am often so sensitive that I can still taste the toxicity somewhat; also things to avoid when you have a low Thyroid

...oh. I'm sorry.

(GRRRGH! WHY AM I SO INSENSITIVE TOWARDS OTHER PEOPLE?! )

I was only trying to explain things; there's no need to beat yourself up for something that you didn't know about. Besides which, I still eat all of those foods listed anyway.

I just thought you were the kind that was so japan obsessed that you'd refuse to eat anything that wasn't Japanese, or that you were some kinda vegan. (Mom says vegans are bad too)

It just never occured to me that there could be a reason.

...Um...the only Japanese type foods I eat are rice and noodles. I'm both vegetarian and mostly vegan [except where eggs and cheese are concerned].

So if you [or your mum] expect me to turn into Sauron or start shooting fireballs everywhere or something, you'll be disappointed.
