I ate a burger around midnight last night, and I wish that I hadn't. What I really wanted was shoarma, but I can't get that around here.

It's an alternate spelling of shawarma, sometimes sold as gyros, roasted seasoned lamb served in a pita bread with lettuce, tomato, sometimes pickled cabbage, or other veggies, and taziki sauce. The chicken ones are also good, but I prefer lamb.
