It is not a bad word, despite what they are telling you in Florida.

The word Gay does get used as an insult sometimes. I've been called Gay & similar but more vulgar words as insults. It would be good if the bill would actually punish kids for name calling instead of just preventing people from identifying as homosexual & preventimg homosexual issues from being discussed.

For the record they do an annual pride event in Pensacola, Florida where I used to live. So I'm sure every "Florida Man" is not as homophobic as the media is making it sound.

Pensacola sounds a bit more liberal than most of the rest of the state.

It's kind of a mixed bag. After all it's not only a military town that touches Alabama's border but it's also big in tourism and attracts people from all around. :)

Funeralxempire, I've never been to Miami but i hear it's very liberal there too. :)

Yeah, the stereotype seems to be that it's the southern most part of NYC.

What about Miami?

cities in general, larger ones in any case, tend to trend more left than smaller towns and countryside areas.

I'm feeling gay today because I'm happy. Too bad I don't have an appetite to go with my gaiety.

I'm feeling very gay today. I'm on my 5th Om Nom. I've also got my favourite music playing. I'm as gay as a soldier who's just come back from war. I want to dance on the tarmac.

Don't hate us 'cause we're happy
Don't hate us 'cause we're beautiful
Don't hate us if we make you smile
Or if we go the extra mile
To make someone feel better
On a really sh!tty day
And if you're hearing what I'm saying then
I want to hear you say, "I'm gay!" (I'm gay!)
Say, "I'm gay!" (I'm gay!)
