#1 rule about playing D&D for the first time: don't attack the other players :x

I don't know why, but probably 75% of the time we play with new people, they decide it would be "fun" to kill each other

And now, no one of my generation touches D&D because they basically think "why play an rpg with pen and paper when you could just play WoW?" I play because I like world building, I think it has more depth to it, and I like to be my character and not just play it. Sadly, none of my friends want to play because it looks or seems boring to them.

Really? A lot of the kids I see playing D&D also turn out to be avid WOW players. I personally prefer the Non-WOW crowd because their manners haven't been eroded by countless hours of digital isolation. Which means older people.

Well, I went to play yesterday. The DM and one other person was there but we needed to have another player to play. No one showed up. Although the comic store was far, my mom was going to that part of town anyways and I was able to make a character because I'm planning on coming next week. The two guys there weren't more than 10 years older than me(one was probably a junior or senior in college, so like 4 years older than me). They were both really nerdy, but social. I understood pretty much everything they were talking about, but I barely knew them so I rarely spoke. I only feel comfortable speaking to someone I've known for at least 2 weeks.

But yeah, anyways, I'm anxious about roleplaying because I only rp online or in my mind while I play D&D all alone( imma so ronery  ) . But I'm definitely going to try to get over to the comic shop next wednsday to play. They told me no-shows are rare.
