At my work we are overwhelmed with fire extinguishers and fire alarms. Halon fire extinguishers are interesting.

I've always been interested in these things. These are the things that keep us safe.

I have an interest in fire alarms, but especially those with strobe lights. Fire alarms without strobe lights are less exciting and in my opinion, every fire alarm should have strobe lights, old or new, and every building, at least large buildings, should have fire alarms with strobe lights.

I like the white strobe lights best and the red strobe lights second. Strobe lights add to the drama and excitement of fire alarms as scary as they are, whether it's a fire drill, a testing of the fire alarms, the real deal (which is unfortunate and I've been in a few situations in school) or in the infamous false fire alarms.

I just wish fire alarms had strobe lights in TV and movie and would like to start seeing strobe lights with fire alarms shown on cartoons regardless of if they're school-bell type fire alarms or buzzers. Would also be nice on live action shows and movies too. If not strobe lights, at least flashing or rotating lights. But in a way that doesn't cause seizures or affect visually sensitive people in a negative way.

Whenever I see fire on TV, including cartoons, or hear a fire alarm on TV, i get out my cell phone and play my strobe light app (recommended download to your mobile device) I also activate my strobe light when I test my smoke detector.

this isn't exactly on topic but i used to have an interest in fire hydrants, and i wrote down all the manufacturers and models and appearance of every fire hydrant i saw. when my parents wanted to keep me occupied they would send me to www.firehydrant.org and i would be enthralled for hours.

one christmas i asked for a fire hydrant, and my parents got me a life size plaster model of a rensslaer corey hydrant. i don't have it anymore but it looks like this:

this was like the best thing i ever got lol.

I actually liked fire drills when in grade school...because we got to go outside. Sometimes the teachers let us have an extra recess.

I imagine I could become interested in fire extinguishers very quickly if my house caught on fire.

Not me, especially alarms. They are too loud for me.

I'm interested in people who are interested in smoke alarms if they can come to my house and replace my wired in ones that are 15 years old now.
