What are some of your pet peeves that are probably not related to autism?

Mine are:

-When you order a small drink at a fast food place and they say "Are you sure? You can get a regular for only 50 cents more".

-When you buy one item in a store and go to pay for it and they say "We have a 2 for 3 deal on right now" and you only need one so say "No thanks, I really only need one" and they get annoyed with you.

-When people talk in "telephone business lady talk" and they say things like "I'm sorry, that department is now closed". The reason why I call it "telephone business lady talk" is because that's the type of things they say when talking on the telephone.

-When people MAKE you sit down on the bus when there is only one seat left and you don't like the location of it.

-When people with big backpacks stand by the door on the bus and don't move when you try to get off.

-When you say "excuse me" to people like 10 times and they still don't move.

-When people say "pardon" when they don't hear what you say. (This one doesn't bother me as much as they other ones)

What are you supposed to say? I honestly don't know. "What?" seems rude.

One of mine is people who don't use their turn signals because they're holding a cell phone in that hand.

I got this exact thing last Friday.
She looked at me like I'd thrown sheep poo at her, and snapped back "So put some in the freezer".

when people think it's ok to be negligent of something because it's not theirs.

for example:

intentionally making a hotel room messy...they don't have to clean it but...some maid does

messing up shelves at a store...oh someone who works here will fix it back...

this is the type of thing that upsets me, people don't stop to think what if that person were me.

Lack of punctuality! Especially when expecting delivery from a company.

Telstra.

Never getting enough dressing on my salad even when i ask for double.

People that come to your house uninvited then complain about how messy it is.

The fact that as soon as someone turns 16, they NEED a car even if they live in a city with good public transport and walking distance from everywhere.

Drivers that try to side swipe cyclists and pedestrians.

Cashiers in shops that serve everyone in line then walk off or start talking with their friend so you are stuck waiting for 5-10 minutes to be served. (banks are bad at this).

Random strangers who tell me to smack my son when he is in an Autistic meltdown.

People who buy gender gifts for children even if they know the child hates pink/ blue/ dolls/ woodworking equipment.

People who swear in front of children.

I find this annoying because, well, I don't really know, it's just one of those things. I don't normally mention to the person. I tell people that it's OK if they say something else besides "pardon" because I don't really get why saying "what" is rude. It's probably the social rule that baffles me the most. It just means "What do you say?", really. It makes no sense.

People projecting

People always thinking they are right

People who have crazy expectations of people like walk eight miles to work and back or take a bus five miles to the grocery store and carry all that food on the bus and have it all get spoiled because it was out of the fridge or freezer for too long because it takes a couple hours to get there and back. Yeah there are people out there who actually have crazy ideas about what you should be doing.

People judging others like for their parenting choices like kids on leashes or spanking a child or co sleeping or for being on food stamps or WIC

Inconsiderate customers and guests so they might do things like trash the hotel room and not clean it up or throwing food on the floor like it's a trash can or messing up items on shelves, or just leaving their garbage on the table or on a bench

People ignoring my question

Tailgaters

Speeders

People being brick walls

People not seeing it my way

People suing for their own actions and lack of common sense

Political correctness

People getting offended over nothing like for example, people getting offended for what they see on TV or in a movie or getting offended over "merry Christmas" so now it's happy holidays

Drama queens

Irrational people

People being hypocritical

Double standards

People cutting in line

Rude drivers on the road

Bicyclists who don't move to the side to let cars by

Sorry is the appropriate response if you are in the way or something, "hey" usually does for other cases.

My peeves are;

People thinking those twats of Jersey Shore are cool
Conviction
Logical Inconsistance

I agree with you. I always said, "What?" and it doesn't bother me when other people say it to me. But other people seem to be bothered by it for some reason. So I never know what I should say.

Here are some more:

-People who think they are too good to associate with anyone who has different beliefs than they do
-Clothes that fall apart in a matter of months just from normal wear
-"Easy-open" packages, which are impossible to open
-People who drive their SUVs half a block to take their kids to the bus stop
-People who honk their car horns instead of getting out of the car and knocking on the door

-When you are finished with your drink at restaurant and they ask if want water and you say "no" and they bring you water anyway. What's the point in bringing water to someone who doesn't want it?

-When they bring you refills of your drinks and you don't refills.

^^ And related to that: when you specifically check first and then ask for still water, you are given sparkling water instead "because we didn't have any still water".
This is useful how, exactly?
