I wonder if I am inflating the view counts for some of the threads.

View counts?

More thread data?!

How about doing one of those nice interesting graphs for us again? :bounce:

Is my new signature working?

It works! :)

Threads have thread-views counted (and I should probably plot the Clean Chatroom data again now that the page count has increased significantly).

Please do not come here and spoil our Clean Chat thread.

Just because I objected to your foul language and reported it, there is no need to take it so personally and turn this into a personal vendetta and follow me around the forums attacking me all the time.

Oooooh it's great! I'm not quite sure I understand it though. Please explain the blue and red lines...

Blue: post count
Red/orange: approximate rate of posting per day multiplied by 100 to fit on the same graph

After school ends (in about one week), I will be updating it at intervals of 100 instead of 500 for significantly better resolution. :D

But what's the difference between "post count" and "rate of posting?"

Sorry if I'm being a bit slow on the uptake as usual...

Does "post count" mean total number of posts in the thread? and "rate of posting" number of posts per day?

It's all so interesting.

Edit: oops, Artrat got lost on her way to Coventry.

*hands her a map*

There. That should do it.

AHEM indeed!

Shall we now move on to discuss time travel or something suitably fascinating?

Ah yes! I wonder what would happen if I created a sheet of glass today,
and shattered it in three years,
and went back and shattered it a day before that,
and went back and shattered it a day before that,
and went back and shattered it a day before that,
and went back and shattered it a day before that,
and went back and shattered it a day before that,
and went back and shattered it a day before that,
all the way to its creation.

8O

Time travel theories make my brain grind to a halt.

I don't know much about it really, but I find it awfully interesting. I'm what would be deemed a "fatalist" and do not believe in the "branch theory" because there is only one possible future just as there is only one possible past. Everything has been decided.

It almost seems natural to assume that there is some kind of meta-time that passes when time-travelers travel back, even though that seems to disintegrate when processed slowly.
