Another confirmation that even though I've bailed out all of my co-workers at least once each, none of them would come to my aid when I had to unload a truck that arrived unannounced at lunchtime with a delivery that I didn't know had been made.

"Too busy"

"Important phone call"

"It's MY lunchtime"

... et cetera ...

:(

It's time to once again to brush off my methods of passive-aggression and apply them where needed.

It seems like everything is bothering me lately and I can't wait to move. I think a new place with new things will make me feel better. I've been living here for 30 years and have a landlord that does nearly all repairs himself. The new place when my turn comes up will be all nice and fixed up and when something breaks they'll send an actual plumber or electrician or whatever to fix it.

Today my landlord "finished" fixing the bathroom outlet which still hums and bothers me so much I keep the light off since that cuts the power off to the outlet and stops the humming. That outlet gives me a lot of anxiety and if it gets louder severe panic attacks.

Then the hot water heater stopped working and the landlord did something with that. This wasn't the first time it did that. Now the burners on the stove don't work even though the pilot lights are lit. (now they lit when the stove cooled down)

I feel like lately something or other is always setting off a panic attack in me and I have no insurance or money to get help. Various strong or out of place or unidentifiable sounds and smells give me panic attacks.
Did your landlord fix your water heater yet? I hope you get to move soon Hanyo. Your apartment sounds as old and broken down as mine.

Got news today that my Nana's corroted (sp?) artery is 90% blocked and she could have a stroke at any moment. That was how all of her siblings died, by the way. She's having surgery in two weeks. I'm really irritated that they couldn't get her into surgery sooner. I'm not going to stop worrying about her until she actually comes out of surgery.

Nana lives in Denver, Colorado, but two of her children (one of my aunts and her brother, my uncle) are going to go take care of her after she has surgery. Neither of them have jobs so they can always be there for her. My parents would go but they both work full time. However, they told me that if anything goes wrong, we're flying out there.

:(

Hope she recovers, Alex. (Hugs Alex)

It had to be relit a couple of times recently. It's not broken yet but I think it's breaking.

I just hope I'm gone before the roof starts leaking badly again. We need a new roof. Every time the landlord gets it fixed it starts leaking again. So far since the last fix it leaked slightly twice with a small wet patch on the ceiling smaller than my fist. It did hold up through Irene though.

The only reason I'm still here is that my landlord only raises rent when people move out and new people move in. Considering that I've been here 30 years my rent is really cheap.

Dear Idaho Rose, you must be a nervous wreck, but it sounds like you have a loving family who is going to take good care of her..call or e-mail her every day to say 'I love you'...that is the best thing in the world for her.
Orionnebula, I hope you didn't throw your iPod away...I put mine through the wash, one of those high efficiency washing machines, I was BEYOND upset. But I let it sit around 3 days,it dried out, then I charged it, it works fine!! Had to reload it, but I'm using it! Or you could take it to the Apple store and see what they can do..good luck...Sylkat :P
Sorry,I'm off topic, I just want Orionnebula to save the iPod if it can be fixed!

I wish my mind would settle for just one night, im so tired of this. I want it ended one way or the other, in a bridge burnt type of way if need be, this is too much for me to handle :(. I hate how weak i am and i hate being vulnerable. Nobody has any power over me and i want it to stay that way, the way it's always been.

Who's knocking to get in? Admittedly I find myself having a similar pull/push often.

No one. im right on the cusp of the age you reach when you finally work out that you'd rather be alone and then i get broadsided by my own emotions. For a long time ive had no emotions at all, then they come when i dont need them anymore and they're making me miserable. I can't think of what to do, i just want it all to end. Winning is out of the question (nothing i could imagine happening) so i just want to lose fast and get it out of my mind. Except nothing will ever be the same again and now i don't even have the little i had before. No way forwards and no way backwards, i cant think of a time ive been more unhappy.

Setting up a time to talk with my children, only to have it be changed to a time I can't make without any input from me.
