Doing irrelevant things when half asleep and feeling groggy
I wasn't sure where to put this, so I put there, since I don't think it's related to Autism. But has anyone here dozed off in the day then perhaps woke up with an immediate start, then kind of said something weird or done something weird?
For example, I remember once I fell asleep in the late afternoon for about half an hour, then when I woke up it was getting dark so the darkness in the room was at the point where it wasn't completely dark but needed the light on (I hate it when it gets like that). And because it was that strange half-darkness, my brain was a bit confused of where I was or what time of the day it was, so I done something without thinking: I mindlessly wondered into the kitchen and started pouring some cereal into a cup - then my mum came in and said, ''why are you having cereal before dinner?'' and I jumped when she appeared and asked that, and it was then when I realised what I was doing. I was feeling all groggy too - my sinuses were blocked, my eyes were dry, and I had a funny taste in my mouth and felt like I wanted to just go back to sleep.
And they say having a nap in the afternoon is good? It doesn't seem to do me any good. Makes me do weird things and I feel all groggy, which goes away after about 15 to 20 minutes.
