EDIT: Can a moderator possibly add a "I'm not close to either option", if possible because it won't let me and I forget to add it.
Done that for you.

Thank you!

I've always been closer to my mom, even though we have very different personality traits. My mother is optimistic, outgoing, a born leader, naturally active, never sweats the small stuff or even the big stuff. I admire her a lot because of that but sometimes it drives me crazy, too. But no mother-daughter relationship is perfect. I'm genetically more like my dad but I wish I were more like my mom. We're planning a big shopping trip to Halifax in a couple of weeks, just the two of us. :)

I have an equally awkward restrained relationship with both of them.

I am closest to my lovely, kind and caring Mum. I'm not close to my Dad, despite considerable effort on my part. I am a disappointment as a daughter and he is a disappointment as a father, so we are even.

Probably more like my Dad in personality but I'm closer to my Mum.

I used to be a Daddy's girl. I think it's mainly because my Mum had a hard time with the menopause and, although I wasn't a troublesome teenager, I felt she was always getting on at me, for the least little thing. Since my early 20s (and I got married and moved out), I've had a better relationship with her. My dad's easier for me to be around and my Mum can be quite intense at times, but I'm equally close to them.
