I think this is one of the reasons why I'm horrible in crossing roads as a pedestrian and somehow always escape from the edge of being crushed by a moving vehicle whenever I cross.

Also, car drivers go nuts on me what concerns gestures to the point I feel quite lucky they hadn't followed me or stepped out of the car to come and attack me.

Does this issue sound common to some of you?

Yes, I'm lousy at judging speed and distance. but I err on the side of caution. When I see a vehicle coming and I'm not sure if I can cross over in time, I keep standing on the pavement until it has passed. This seems to annoy some motorists, probably because I don't see that they are slowing down to let me cross. I've been honked at and have had irritated hand gestures many times.

I drive a car and sometimes I don't notice one car is lagging behind enough for me to have a large space to go when making a left turn.

I'm bad at judging time, I'm worse at judging speed, I'm absolutely horrible at judging distance.

Yep, I'm totally like this. Takes me forever to cross the road.

This is the reason I hate left hand turns.

That is why I hate the words "exit only" and "lane ends, merge left" when driving. And why I'm very grateful to road designers who put in medians for us hapless pedestrians who thought they could make it all the way across and get stranded half-way.
