I admit that I am and I usually respond angrily to anyone who insults or criticizes me.

I'm extremely sensitive to that sort of thing but also very non-confrontational and not emotionally expressive so most people probably think it doesn't bother me.

I am. I'm very sensitive to those things. So much to the point that it took me a little over two years to be able to spend more than just two days with my parents. I've got to remember that Hell Week was in the October of 2009 and this is the Christmas of 2012. I just hope that the next few days don't turn out to be like Hell Week.

Yeah, I can be pretty defensive about myself about this.

Yes. I feel the need to over explain things or I get argumentative or I lash out verbally over it. It's gotten me into aLOT of trouble as a kid because I thought people were insulting me when they were really just joking.

I often don't realize until later that people have been nasty. It's one of the things that if I could change, I totally would. I'm generally fine with critiques because they have a functional use but when I actually catch on that people are being unnecessarily critical I generally just shut down and don't respond. I learned early not to show weakness, and pain or upset is weakness. So my response to almost everything is uniformly blank-pleasant-face.

Yes. I'm worse if someone insults my best friend rather than me though. All hell breaks loose if that happens. I think with my fists first when people say anything about her or me.

yep, absolutely BIG time and then I sulk and don't talk for days or even months, and even though it's absolutely horrible, I will b***h and whinge behind their back instead of facing them and dealing with it :( I am getting better though. Family is the hardest though, way too much...with them I just feel bitter and avoid, avoid, avoid :( (so much for being 45 yrs old! hehehe)

yes I can be sentive at times, over the years whenever any family members said things I would get upset and start getting angry then I wouldn't talk to them for ages.
Since I've been on Zoloft I've been able to take things a bit better.

Yes. I absolutely hate it, and it bothers me for a long time afterwards.
