Right now I have like a medium length hippie style haircut... it's parted at the middle and it sort of curls and puffs out at the bottom (especially the back). I don't want a fringe, I want to keep the part in the middle and to have it relatively long at the front. I like Gerard Way's old style... (Picture below) How would you describe that hair??? Is it layered? I like the way that it doesn't curl out or bunch up at the back or the bottom... What would I ask for specifically at the hairdressers? I DO NOT want to take the photo in...

I'd describe it as "Early Syd Barrett".

I would describe that as a bad haircut.

I think it's layered, maybe scrunch dried with gel? If I was asking for that I'd say 'parting slightly off centre, layered, longish at the front and a bit messy-looking, not neat'.

"Late Syd Barrett" would be a lot funnier though.

I cut my own hair. :-p Solves the problem of trying to describe to someone else how I want to look, plus they don't have to poke and prod at my head for a half hour.

It looks like the stylist thinned the end a bit with a razor. And it looks gelled.

Well. I'm something of a jerk I suppose. lol.

I thought the reference to Syd Barrett was pretty funny either way.

Be a Man, take the picture in.

There is nothing worse than a bad haircut, unless it's deliberate.
