Tomorrow I have to be up much earlier than normal for a meeting. Anyone have any tips? Alternately, does anyone have any tips for getting through work/school with little or no sleep?

Without access to stimulants like caffeine I usually try to keep active throughout the day. During your breaks, you could attempt to stretch your legs and move around. You should also keep yourself mentally stimulated as well as physically. Even though it might seem strange, pungent smells like eucalyptus blue gum, peppermint and rosemary can keep you awake. If all else fails you can always resort to microsleeping at appropriate opportunities.

When I don't get much sleep I can sometimes have a hard time feeling fully awake when I 1st wake up. Drinking soda helps alittle as well as eating something & being active after. I worked aLOT of overtime sometimes when I was working & some of my days were pretty long. I would sometimes put my head down on the table & halfway sleep during my hour lunch breaks & wake up abit before my break ended & eat a snack & drink a soda. I drank soda & sometimes ate snacks during my 15minute breaks too. Sometimes by the end of my shift I would get really tired & I occasionally worked halfway asleep when I was washing dishes at IHOP or cleaning floors at WalMart & I still did at least a decent job with it but those things were routine & I did a pretty good job when I was awake & daydreaming some or talking to my coworkers.
