How much time do you spend on the discussion forums?
Such as Wrongplanet.net
I spend a lot of time on the forums, mostly to Wrongplanet.net and Kerbal Space Program forum, sometimes also yahoo answers, but you need points to post a question.
I noticed that instead of writing my thesis, I spend my time writing trivial things online

I'm more of the opposite. I'm a very visual person. My mind is notorious for wandering easily when it comes to discussions. It's best that I get straight to the point of what I need to find out (or what I can contribute), then get leave immediately to come back another time when something else comes up. On average I'll spend about 15 minutes a day of my free time online (unless I'm watching a video or looking at a set of images that feed any one of my interests).
Oddly enough I'm more on the non-verbal side of socialization. I find it easier to show people what I mean instead of talking about it.

i used to spend most of my time on forums but I don't spend nearly as much time on nowadays because my OCD is better, I'm living more in the real world & am busy with life or enjoying other things. Some days I spend a lot of time on but other days I'm not on at all except checking watched posts. WP is the only forum I used for a while now.
