I learned that magenta is not entirely a 'real' colour.

There is a scene in the old G1 Transformers cartoon where the Decepticons drink from Energon cubes and get very intoxicated, with one of them even getting hiccups, and then Megatron starts slurring about "The good ol' days on Cybertron". One of the Autobots called them "overenergized", but they are obviously drunk. And for evil, murderous robots they're quite happy and funny drunks.

Lifehack: If your iPod/iPhone gets wet, put it in a bag of rice overnight. The rice will absorb the excess water. It worked for me and my brother.

I learned that my intuition is surprisingly accurate.

I just learned that the super annoying, loud, "bleep bleep" sound my phone makes for seemingly no reason was due to it being in a phone wallet type thing, and a bank card in the card slot facing it. Apparently something called NFC had to be turned off - a feature that allows you to pay for things with your phone was getting its wires crossed because there was a card nearby or something.
Technology. I swear I don't know what that device is doing or capable of half the time.

I learned that it is very amusing watching things on fast-forward and seeing the characters go super speed.

That the saying "rule of thumb" comes from an old English law saying men were not allowed to beat their wives with anything wider than their own thumb. I guess they had to use a long thin stick for whipping instead. :?

And also that 35% of people posting personal dating ads are already married.

And about 100 people choke to death each year on ballpoint pens. It didn't say if the people were mostly babies or young children though.
