Things we could say to people we miss

Everyone:

This is a more coherent version of a thread I started on this forum before. I think it got deleted. I bet you all will understand my revised thread.

In this thread, you can say something to someone you miss.

I'll start:

"You are a sweet person and I wish I never said an untrue statement to you ever in my life!"

Wow. This actually made me cry. That's a good thing, since I'm often told I need to learn to "feel" more.

I wouldn't know where to start, or with whom.

To an anonymous person: I am sorry I did not stay in touch with you or try to keep our relationship going when you had cancer. I wish I had a legitimate excuse, such as being forced to move to the other side of the world immediately, but I don't. I was being selfish and lazy and did not know what to say to you. Good friends would just be there for you always and try to help out, even if they didn't know how to. Just being there for someone is one of the best things you can do for someone.

(Turn and look at them and say) "Sup?"

"I wish I could tell you happy birthday this year. It's unfortunate that you rejected me because of one little thing. I still like you anyway!"

Dear K-

I'm so sorry we drifted apart. I don't think we're as different from each other as you seem to think. I really hope you're happy and well. I think about you all the time, and I'll always be here for you if you ever need me.

I hope you are faring well. I shall never forget you...you taught me so much about myself and about love, enabling me to continue to love, even when so often it falls apart. You taught me that there are some good men out there and that with effort, my past could be healed, given time. You taught me that in order to keep, I have to sometimes let go. So, I hope you are alive, and well, and happy and still able to dream.

I wish I found it easier to talk to you.

Damian - I wish your wife would let you come home to your friends. We miss you terribly.

Lisa - I wish your boyfriend would let you come home to your friends. We miss you terribly.

Sandra - I don't know why you are judge me so harsly on my personal decisions to be healthy, physically and mentally. I wish you would stop pushing me away because of them. I miss you terribly and would appreciate some support.

Rachel - yeah.... go away

Grandad - I wish we had been able to be more emotionally attached before you died.

Ric, Paul, Mark - I'm sorry we drifted apart. You were probably the best friends I've ever had.

"I'm happy for you, you deserve him.I'm grateful for every moment we spent together."

To an old friend:

"I know your childhood was difficult. I'm glad you turned out so well."

To my grandmother who is now dead:

"I'm sorry I didn't visit you more often when you were in the hospital. I'm sorry I never could tell you how much I really care, I didn't know what to say or how. I wish I could have cheered you up somehow, I wish things had been different."
