Do you think this entire can has enough morphine to cause any psychoactive effect if I was to grind the entire contents into a smoothie? Just curious. It was on sale and I enjoy baking, so I purchased it to make poppy seed cake.

If you're looking at getting high off of poppy seed pie filling you're going to be sorely disappointed, and a few pounds heavier...

Nope, I'm just curious. I don't want to waste perfectly good poppy seed filling. Usually people use unwashed poppy seeds to get an effect, not sure about this can of filling though.

What is it with everyone wanting to get high? I'm actually nervous to eat anything with poppy seeds because of the possible narcotic effect.

I've heard eating even a small amount of poppy seeds can show up on drug tests...

That was in a Seinfeld episode but I heard it's not true

I think the Myth Busters guys tested the poppy seed drug test claim, and it turned out to be true. Poppy seed bagels can cause false positives on drug tests for morphine. Not sure though, my memory is vague.
