Growing up all I listened to was Weird Al Yankovic and Metallica.

I still enjoy Weird Al... kind of grew out of Metallica... still enjoy a song or two if it's on the radio.

What I also really enjoyed... didn't notice it at the time... is the music of video games. My love of video game music has indirectly affected my enjoyment of all musics.

At 12, I listened to REM and Barenaked Ladies, mainly for the jokes.

God, you make me old. Barenaked Ladies when you were 12? Radiohead?! I was into country when I was 12, and an oldies fan in high school, so I'll rewind a little.

Here's what I listened to when I was 4 or 5 (and how old I really am):
Gary Numan: Cars
Diana Ross: Upside Down
Charlie Dore: Pilot Of The Airwaves (I DARE you to tell me you've heard that one)
Yvonne Elliman: If I Can't Have You
Neil Diamond: Comin' To America
Roseanne Cash: Seven Year Ache

And my mom's old records.
