Rain, pine trees in the mountians, lavender- preferably fresh- oranges, mangoes, blood oranges, curry, spices in general, cinnamon, more curry, coriander. . . did I mention spices in general? My mother's bran muffins, my sister's whole grain french bread, olive oil steeped with garlic and basil and other good things, my father's greenhouse. . . sandalwood, but it has to be real sandalwood. . . vanilla. . . sage in the desert. . . the right sort of dust. . . Australia. . . limes. . .

this all is making me hungry.

of these, vanilla is pretty much the only one that can ever be fake. . .

I also really loved the way my cat smelled, before she died.

Funny how creatures always have their own smell. . . :)

I'm not going to get into humans here. . .

*sigh*

So I have a very smell centered world.

Also the smell of dipping Godiva strawberries. . . the incredibly fresh, faint fruit smell, tinted by the scent of tap water (we hand washed them one by one prior to dipping) and the pervasive Godiva chocolate smell in the shop, and the sort of warmed-chocolate smell of what we were waiting to dip with. . .

a lot of chocolate things smell very good. . .

Weird, people have told me to smell a dog's feet. I haven't ever really thought to though. They said it would surprise me.

In any case, I like the smell of (someone already mentioned it) marijuana, even though I don't smoke it, burning wood, the smell of night air, cut grass and, of course, women. I love how they smell. I could do without the excess hair products. I just like the smell of the hair and skin. Delicious.

all of my favorite smells are weird/gross comparatively... stuff like

My own bad breath.
The smell of the discharge coming from my piercings. (I started doing it to make sure it wasn't getting infected, but found I liked it)
My cats' natural scent
My dog's natural scent
My leather wallet.
One girlfriend's ears
The same girlfriend's perfume.

I like deep dark scents, I'm not too keen on "happy" scents like oranges, flowers, or lemon, etc.

The ink on those little Beatrix Potter books back in the 1960s, they where such quality, the paper was also so smooth.
