On a slightly disconnected side note (humans being creatures and all), I've been told multiple times by multiple people that I don't smell like anything at all (infallibly, I ask why they're smelling me in the first place, but whatever).

Storms
Lavender
Most flower scents, actually
Apples
Vanilla
Coffee (yay for the smell of coffee, especially before it's made)

sweet grass
clove
beer
lavender
plastic
garlic

My cat's tummy
lemons
tea
coffee (both freshly ground and brewed)
hot cocoa
tangerine/orange peelings
freshly cut grass
pine trees
garlic
after-rain smells
burning wood/leaves
most spices (curry, cinnamon, nutmeg, basil, thyme)
sun dried laundry
my skin after being in the sun

You reminded me of that. I have that whole set. I want them back.

Umm.. clean hair - doesn't matter what shampoo it's been washed with
Baby hair.. well just the smell of babies in general
Kittens.. I suppose that could go into the baby category. I guess it's because it's pure.
Washing that has been washed in non-bio (it's a good job too, cause I need to use non-bio due to sensitive skin)
Cigarette smoke (didn't start because of peer pressure, but because I liked the smell)

Cellars.. well I suppose mildew. I guess that's the odd one. I used to sniff and suck on wet flannels when I was little

One thing I don't get is flower smells. To me flowers stink. They may look pretty but they don't smell pretty to me. The aroma is just too strong. Same thing goes for "spicey" smells like peppermint or rosemary.

Very cool smells all around. Your descriptions are poetic and beautiful. I think you guys are talented writers. I was taken there with you in those descriptions.

I think the one smell that calms me and releases my fears is the smell of a mama pine tree. The bark, the needles, the cones. All my tears and shakings - are absorbed into her. And for a good while, I'm at peace.
