She shouldn't have asked because she then got struck by lightning, hit by a speeding bus, and beaten up by an old lady with a heavy purse that she swore up and down had to have been full of bricks.

She lived but she was suddenly sucked through a portal into...

a hallway full of doors. She heard an evil-sounding metallic voice warning her that she had less than 10 seconds to open a door or she would be permanently stuck in this fluorescent-lit purgatory forever.
