I like the idea of having a thread where instead of bragging about going out, we brag about staying in.

You know how people are always saying, "This weekend I went to a party," or, "I ran a bunch of errands today and got so much accomplished." On the other hand, I always feel uncomfortable telling people I stayed in all day to write, or read, or use Wikipedia, or whatever - even if I have a great time and learn a lot!

The WP seems like a good place to start a thread like this, b/c I imagine we all appreciate time to ourselves sometimes. So here's a place to talk about it.

So...

Friday night and all day yesterday I stayed in. I got a LOT of writing done, and I surfed youtube. I found some BRMC videos there that inspired me to download some old American music (Johnny Cash, ELVIS! lol, Marty Robbins) and now I feel very connected to my roots. :D

Who else wants a go?

Well today I actually had to go somewhere, but yesterday I played Oblivion a lot, and I think thats what I'm gonna do tomorrow.
I only leave my room if I absolutely need to, its safe and comfortable in here.

Today, I'm going to stay indoors and work on my art. After that, I'll post on WP, and than I'll read. When I get tired of reading, I'll do some more art.

Does being in work count as staying in?
I come to work everyday especially evenings and weekends, this is where the internet connection is and where I have a purpose and structure so feel safe.
When I am not at work I am in my room in bed, last night though I stayed in and watched some dvds as my son gave me a potable dvd player. Often I stay in and do number puzzles if not at work.

I went out today but I didn't go so far. For the rest of the day and evening I'm not going to be up to very much at all besides listening to the radio, having my evening meal and browsing the Internet.

According to my Wii, I have played MySims for a total of about 30 hours in the past week that I've owned it.

Staying in is good, sometimes I don't leave the apartment for days. I have my music, my DVDs and there's WP. If I'm really bored there's the TV but if you've ever seen Hungarian TV you'll realize that this is not a realistic option.

Is this a hallucinogenic beverage?
Seriously, though, I look forward to evenings at home too...books, pets, hot beverages, and not answering the phone if I don't want to.

I'm really excited about not going to a party tomorrow night. Instead I believe I will finish drawing tiger stripes on my Halloween costume and go on the internet.
