Thanksgiving.....
I just love when White men, especially those in other countries, claim to know more about Native Americans than Native Americans do. And for God's sake we're not "INDIANS". Indians are those ugly idiots in India that answer the phone when you call technical support for Dell and HP and take away American jobs.
Not all tribes come from Siberia. The only tribe that has a linguistic background similar to Siberia is Navajos. And most Native Americans don't look at them as one of "us". My people are not from Siberia. Even still it was the white asses that came here and killed my people that had been living here for over 10,000 years. The land was empty of other humans when my people came. It is the white man who is nothing more than a squatter on stolen land. It is the white man that killed 3/4 of my ancestors during the Indian Removal otherwise known as the Trail of Tears. Otherwise known as Genocide of the REAL Americans.
The Pilgrims were nothing more than Rapists, Murderers and Thieves. Yeah Happy Thanksgiving decendants of whitetrash thieves!

That's interesting stuff. Are those ancient japanese the ancestors of the ainu? So how did they get to North America? Hard to imagine that humans evolved independently in the western hemisphere.
Unrelated note. The indians I've known get really outraged about what they call the "Bering Strait theory," the idea that their ancestors came from asia. I never understood why.
How else would they have gotten here?

Pacific islanders are the worlds most ancient mariners; they probably made it to the Americas the same way they made it to all of those vastly scattered islands in the Pacific; they made it to the Hawaiian Islands, so the Americas don't seem like that big of a stretch for them.

You hear similar things about the colonisation of Australia nowadays. I had no intention of going and killing or converting so-called heathen savages. But I have no intention of leaving Australia either. I just think we should reflect on the past, reconcile, and move on.

Yeah, I'm still in the bush, but it's getting a little chilly, and the nights are awful long, and I'm thinking about walls and a roof with a light switch and a heater. Gonna become a regular member of human society, I am, like with a girlfriend and...
Well, the ambition of having a heater is realistic.
Keeping to the thread, I noticed today how much better mashed potatoes are when there's real potatoes involved instead of those flakes in a package. I'd give you some to try, but I don't think I could throw them that far, and benson won't help because the game's on tv and he's looking at rocks during the commercials.

Did you say that wasn't proper? Did you march out on the track?
You were quiet, just like mice. And now you say that we're not nice.
Well thank you buddy for your advice...

Happy Thanksgiving here to whoever celebrates it.
I just stood home and mom cooked. For the last few years our Thanksgivings have been simple. Many of the relatives are dead or no longer live close to us. So most of our Thanksgivings are just between the three of us. We did go out for a few recent Thanksgivings to restaurants but they're so crowded during Thanksgiving that we got tired of it.
During these holidays I prefer to stay home.
