I read "I am Legend" 2 years ago.
Written in 1954 by Richard Matheson
I still get shivers remembering the ending.
It was Awesome :!:
Apparently the plot and ending were trashed to make the film, but I am still dying to see it!

Oo, I really can't recommend it. The 1971 version with Charlton Heston was good, corny fun, sort of a pre-Mel Gibson "Mad Max". The Will Smith version was inert, pretentious, and horribly depressing. :hmph:

I didn't know there was a 1971 version.

I thought the one I saw was okay, but that's just me.

(By the way, I just noticed the word "saw" is "was" backwards!! )

The 1971 version (which apparently wasn't faithful to the book either) was called "The Omega Man". And perhaps it's an age thing - I was fifteen when I saw it, the right age to want to kick some zombie butt. :wink:
