The woes of a wolf biter:

And this is on a good day. Usually they've got blood spots, raw bits of underlying flesh visible or actively flowing blood. They've been soaking in water which is why they look all puffy and bloodless. Usually, you can see bloody flesh from deep below the epidermis. Yummy!

ME!

Read my above post. As I said, I'm a Wolf Biter.

I plan on giving the 'Random' forum regular posts including pictures of my fingers so I can keep a (sort of) journal of my finger picking and biting.

Wolf Biter for life :)

My poor fingers :(

I practically bite and pick them all of my waking hours. I bite them until they're sore and bleed. You have no idea how much pleasure I derive from doing this despite the pain can be unbearable sometimes!

My ex partner used to smack me on the hands every time she caught me doing it but now we're not together anymore I can do it all I like without censure from anyone. Add I said, poor fingers.

sorry  I had not heard the term "wolf biter" before and was ignorant of its meaning [still am, but I get that you gnaw on your fingers]. I do sincerely wish, even though I don't know you, that you would NOT do that! your fingers deserve BETTER THAN THAT! [you got me in "mother" mode now  ] I hope you can find some other [less harmful] way of getting the psychic relief you get from your fingerbiting.

I am [or was] guilty of the same kinda thing, I used to derive relief of some inner quasi-tourettes urge, to peel chunks of flesh from my chapped lips, the hanging jagged sheets of skin therein bugged the dickens outta me and I could not let them just dangle and catch on things, so I would peel and peel and peel until my lips were a bloody pulp. glad I stopped that before permanent maiming occurred.

if we're persecuting those who bite, tear and chew their fingers and lips then i'm also guilty as charged. :|

mine look fine-ish right now but right after a shower they look just like the picture above. smetimes bloody as well, it gives me immense pleasure and i've been doing it for as long as i can remember. i may have gotten it from mom. the one unpleasant part is when i bite and eat (i eat them) too much and they swell and hurt.

hurts to type.

i still cringe when i see others use clippers on their fingers. i tried it once and the sensation was just awful. may have been because they were stubby, though.
i used to do it to my toenails too, but i know better now. uninhibited with clippers down there.

and lips, to an extent. i've never drawn blood there, but i'm chewing them right now...

not persecuting anybody for this behavior, just aghast at the self-harm is all.

Oh that's fun, age quiz told me I'm 27. Now all I can think about is the infamous 27 club.

Those little 10 question online quizzes that try to give a horoscope or something like that. Don't know why I bother with them. This one basically asked you what age you act like. Apparently it thinks I act like I'm 27. 27 club is a large group of famous people who died at age 27.

somehow I think you will avoid that fate. I would guess you don't morbidly overeat or overdrug/overdrink.
