I need a bit of help (trying get my AS group to branch out)

Me and my mom (and her friend and her friend's son) started a group for Teens and young adults With AS in my area a few years ago. It's actually gone pretty well. we meet once a month, hang out have cookies and play games. The parents hang out and talk, if they come. We also have different activities we sometimes do. we played mini golf once. Some of the guys went out to a movie, and we bowled.

I'd actually like to have it branch out. Maybe have other chapters started in other states or countries. and Maybe have parts for Children and older adults. I'd like to help get parents informed, and have a safe Haven for Aspies to meet and connect in person.

My Mom started it so i'd have Aspies to talk to in person. I want to take that goal and expand it. any idea or tips would be great.

See, the problem with these groups in my area is none of the kids actually want to go.

Their parents are forcing them to, they don't talk, they ignore the doctors and they don't play the games..

If there was actually a group like this in my area I'd go there in a heartbeat. Too bad they all suck, though.

Our group doesn't have doctors. we just hang out and talk. No doctors. why should there be doctors? It's just teens being teens. I wouldn't go if i was forced, and there were doctors and crap.

Because they're the only ones who organize it. I guess.

All the groups in my area have totally sucked, and it's a damn shame. I'd love to meet other teens with AS...
