Musical obsession?
I've been told from time to time it's odd that I know damn near everything about Led Zeppelin's recordings. From song title, to the album it's off of, to the order of songs on the album, to songwriting credits/label, and what year it was released. My da will ask me what Zep song is playing on the radio and I'll give the whole spiel about it being "Black Dog" from L.Z. 4 (Zoso), its the first song, released 1971, and pre-Swan. And my da will give me this look:
I don't think I've really listened to Zep that much but I am really keen on them. I do the same thing with the Beatles. It's odd. I don't think I'm obsessed with certain bands, but my knowledge of them is certainly amazing considering I'm about thirty years too young to be this knowledgeable about some of them (and most of my knowledge is pre-internet, off of the liner notes). I do however listen to an album for weeks if not months on end. Might explain why I know quite a bit about a lot of classic rock.
Kinda side-related: my da and I have been playing "guess that classic rock song", mainly to test my memory, and he played the first three notes of "Angie" by the Stones and I had it.
edit: And this is one the reasons my da has been saying this a lot recently: "And you only think you have Asperger's?".

I have had two MAJOR music obsessions. Fleetwood Mac (mostly Stevie Nicks) and Counting Crows. Fleetwood Mac was a big one for me. It is also how I met my husband online. I have a lot of Fleetwood Mac items that I have collected over the years. Counting Crows sort of replaced Fleetwood Mac as far as intensity of obsession in 2004. We even travelled from Los Angeles to New Orleans to see them play. I know all the band members in each band, all the albums, songs, lyrics, etc. for each.
Pink Floyd
I know which songs came from which album, but not so much the year they were released. I break it down by Syd/Post Syd/Roger Dominant/Post Roger. I can tell you who is singing and if the song means anything or the guys just thought it sounded cool.
edit:add
It absolutely kills me that I'm still missing a studio album, but I almost have them all.

Echo & The Bunnymen have been a quite constant music obsession of mine, including have travelled through England for a week to see them 3x in 4 days in 3 different cities.
Apart from them I had many shorter obsessions music wise, such as Bauhaus, Heather Nova, Marilyn Manson, The Smiths, and more recently Orphaned Land.
Although none of them became obsessions as big as the Bunnymen, I do consider myself a fan of them and have many of their records.
