Apparently the "zombies" in Resident Evil are not actually the living dead. Its merely the T-virus and the way it acts on most human bodies.

Muscular degeneration would explain why "mostly" they shuffle around quite slowly. Nobody seems to have covered what might happen when the really severe decay sets in though.

As for the skeleton warriors: suspension of disbelief is the key here. If a film-maker can persuade you that skeletons can move, he's done well. If he can't, then he fails.

Um, that picture of Jesus is a bit offensive and not funny to those of the Christian faith just so you know...

It might not bother you, but it is considered "bad taste."

i used to lie sleepless at night afraid that zombies would come crawling out of the floors and eat my brains with a compliment of sauces because of this evil movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0166792/

*hides under blanket* make it go away...

I am very well prepared for a zombie attack. I've read the zombie survival guide :D .

I have a plan and everything, although I know its a very very unrealistic scenario :P . Zombies used to be one of my obsessions.

But I wonder if you act like a zombie will they leave you alone, since they seem to not attack others like themselves, supposedly I do a good zombie impersenation. just thrust your head awkwardly, toll your eyes aroud so it appears white and do the zombie thing.

The zombies may be able to still smell you as being a non-zombie. Or you might not sound zombie enough, not have rottingness, etc etc etc.

Actually, zombies can be real. I don't mean the kind you see in hollywood though, however there are certain chemicals that can be introduced to a dead organism, to make it move as if it was alive.

Zombie type 1: virus created and sustained, if said virus can keep the flesh from rotting the zombie survives but needs sustenance.
Zombie type 2: created by witch doctors, not actual zombies just drugged, these too need sustenance.
Zombie type 3: created by supernatural forces like possession by a daemon, no sustenance needed but daemons like eating flesh anyways.
Zombie type 4: same as above just except by a psychic human or necromancer, no interest if eating flesh unless ordered otherwise..

Skeleton type 1: possessed by a daemon.
Skeleton type 2: controlled by a human necromancer like puppets on a string,
these skeletons do not need tissues to move, its all done by physic or supernatural forces.

Type 3: tetrodotoxin, found in puffer fish, was used by practitioners of vodu. It has a sort of paralytic/brainwashing effect. The family bury the "corpse", which is subsequently exumed by the houngan and used as a slave. Thus people think their dead relative is a zombie. They aren't actually dead, nor do they rot.

Type 1: Covers your resident evil zombies, also 28 days later zombies, and even your Romero zombies. The first is a mutation, the second is a blood disease, and the third is, I believe, a side effect of some form of alien virus or microbe.
