where's the men's forum?

I'm surprised that we, the folks with AS don't seem to have a men's forum in addition to the women's forum. I don't know if it's my AS or not but I hate gender-specific stuff or not getting equal treatment. Everyone should get and give equal treatment.

hardly anyone ever posted in it so we removed it. inactive forums are bad for the site

We live in a world dominated by men (which is already like a Men's Forum) and women are treated like second class citizens.
Sometimes, just being born female seems like a handicap.

For a while my experience of life is that men seem like second class citizens because everything seems like its meant for women.

And the majority of us on here are male. For every 4 male aspies, there is one female.

that's total BS. Watch TV sometime. Women this, women that. Women are beautiful, men are pigs. If a woman says she's a goddess, she's thought of as strong and independent but if a man said he's a god, he's though of as full of himself.

Wow, sounds like something my NT partner would say... of course, that's like for 1 week a month, the rest I argue instead of b***h... and it's him that does the bitching. And by the way the majority of the Adult Asperger's Forum seems to function very well as the men's forum... with the occasional female on there too.

And if you think women come first and get treated equal, you don't live in my house. You might think twice if you lived with someone that thinks that just because you stay at home and take care of his kids, that you aren't working. Yes that old attitude with some men still exists... I have a living breathing proof of it living with me.

There was a men's forum and it had the same topics as the Adult forum. In fact the Adult forum is controlled by the men and the men have also taken over the Women's forum even to the point of arguing with women over menstruation.

Being an intelligent woman is a handicap in this world and especially on this forum. A lot of AS guys have real issues with conversation skills and if you don't agree with them they would just as soon beat you over the head with a pipe. I've even seen this in person where the AS guys will pound on the table & scream to get their point. Kinda like cavemen. So I seriously don't feel like as a woman there is any power in it. Women are still equal to slaves in this world.

If you feel left out as a guy, go to the Adult forum to talk with other guys because its the same as the Men's forum was.

I would disagree. But, it wasn't adding much to the site.
There was almost NOTHING active on it at all. Bitching
about women. Shaving. A couple other threads. But,
that's really it.

It only really existed as an equity thing.

Nah. The Adult section is pretty interesting.

I haven't peeped into the Adult forum in awhile because it was so boring. But last time I looked it was post after post whining because they can't get laid or talking about penis length. Same thing as they always talked about in the Men's Forum.

It's a pecking order thing. Men like to pick and tease and domineer between themselves, to establish pecking order. If a lifetime of being an honorary male has taught me anything, it's this... if you're going to hang out with guys, when you're pushed, you have to push back. Don't tolerate bullsh*t "just to be nice" or so you "don't make waves", or so you don't make someone "feel bad". When someone pushes you, push back.

Men are like wolves... and the wolf that gets nipped but never nips back is the bottom of the pecking order... the omega wolf. When you get nipped, nip back! Otherwise, you will indeed end up on the bottom of the pecking order and get treated, as you say, like a slave.

The social structures of most women are different... seem to run on a system of categories, rather than a heirarchy. There's:

1) Cool people,
2) Ok people, and
3) Stupid b*tches.

This system is both more forgiving and more unforgiving than the male system. In the male system, if you're the omega wolf it really sucks to be you, but you always have the hope of moving up in the pecking order in the future. If you are stuck in the "stupid b*tch" category of the female system, you're treated marginally better (to you face at least) than the "omega wolf" of the male system, but you have absolutely no hope of advancement.

Among males, there is nothing sadder than not being able to get laid. That is just the unfortunate circumstance that a lot of male Aspies fall into. Also, having a winky that is too small may cause depression.

How do women generally react to the male pecking order? Among wolves, the omega male isn't going to get any sex. Does the same rule typically apply to humans?

If AS men didn't act like dumbasses they might get laid. It's all about natural selection. Women instinctively do not normally pursue men with bad DNA. And Aspies all have bad DNA. Women instinctly steer towards the bad boy NT because they subsconsciously know their baby will stand a better chance of survival than if they made a baby with an autistic.

I think the male pecking order is stupid. There's a handful of males at work and on here that I like, but the vast majority are without merit. Just listening in to the constant NT gal chatter at work I can say those women also feel the same way. Men are just big jokes and women viewed them as helpless and a nuisance. Matter of fact one of the closet Aspie men at work yesterday nearly got himself slapped across the room harassing women. And no it wasn't me, it was one of the NT married women I thought was going to throttle him.

I think that is pretty much all you need to say, cut to the chase. So are we allowed to complain about bitterness too?
