I want to get myself a weighted blanket. Maybe that will help me sleep at night.

Mine just arrived in the mail today! Details so far:

•it is much thinner than I expected, not a bad thing.
•it isn't too noisy, rustles a bit like a stiff sheet.
•the weight is focused in the middle of the blanket and toward the top, good for chest weight.
•its a bit of a job to get under and the weighted squares lodge between legs

I'll know more in the morning!! :)

I couldn't live without my weighted blanket. If I'm really overwhelmed from a long day of people screaming in my ears at school, I put my weighted blanket on my head and shoulders and sit in my dark closet. Calms me down almost instantly.

I remember as a child I liked the heavy kind of normal blanket on me, and liked the feeling of the cat sleeping on my legs, but I think I would find it uncomfortable having a weight on my chest like that.

I wasn't too sure about the blanket after my first night, but it is growing on me.

•it is not too warm (in fact the filling rocks keep it cool to the touch mostly).
•the weight is restricted to an area about 24 inches wide, so it is a bit restrictive in that sense, I can't spread out in my bad as I used to.
•the weight feels great on my entire torso, bit awkward on my legs still.

So, still up in the air on its functionality for me.
